Heat in the Street and Gnomes Have Invaded Northville

By | January 9, 2021

Where To Find Outdoor Dining This WinterToday would be the perfect day  to support our local business by checking out the 8 x 8 covered, heated pods and stands that have been placed throughout The Twist –  downtown’s outdoor social district.   The new social district allows guests to carry their beverages purchased from the participating restaurants out to the commons area, streets, sidewalks and plaza that are in the already delineated seating areas — E. Main from Center to Hutton and N. Center from Main to Dunlap. The stands are typically open Friday, 4-9 p.m., Saturday, 12-9 p.m. and Sunday, 12-6 p.m. in Town Square.

Restaurants use covered stands to prepare and serve seasonal dishes and drinks while the pods will be use by visitors to eat, drink and socialize. The pods will include one bar-height table separated by a “social distancing shield” that can fit 8-12 people in two separate groups. Both the pods and stands will be equipped with propane heaters and lighting.  Participating businesses include 160 Main, Browndog Barlor, Center Street Grille, Lucy & The Wolf, Poole’s Tavern, Simply Wine, and Table 5.
