Breast Cancer Summit

By | April 14, 2018

Maria Lyzen, one of our residents, is a breast cancel survivor.  As such she would like to make everyone aware of any upcoming event.  Breast cancer survivors, caregivers, and members of the general public concerned about breast cancer are welcome to attend.

Each year, the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center’s Community Outreach Program hosts The Breast Cancer Summit. This free event includes breast cancer survivors, caregivers, and members of the general public in attendance. Event goals are to:

  • Educate about advances in breast cancer research, screening, treatment, and survivorship
  • Highlight research and expertise of the U-M Rogel Cancer Center
  • Encourage women to be advocates for their health
  • Connect women with resources in their community

The event format includes panel discussions, specialized talks, community exhibitors, lunch and refreshments, raffle prizes, and more. Support is received from The U-M Rogel Cancer Center’s Breast Oncology Program, and the U-M School of Public Health. We invite you to join us!
