I wear a mask in public for three reasons:
I don’t know if I have Covid and it is clear that people can spread the disease before they have symptoms.
I don’t know if the person I am near has a kid battling cancer, or cares for an elderly or immuno-compromised loved one. While I may be fine, they may not be.
I want my community to thrive, businesses to stay open and employees to stay healthy. Keeping a lid on Covid helps us all.
Better Safe than Sorry
Yes, it seems at time that we are getting conflicting information, some view it as a conspiracy, and some view it as an infringement on their rights. But ask yourself: If you don’t wear a mask, are you 100% sure that you will not get nor spread the virus? This is a totally new virus and no one has all the answers to its spread, prevention and cure. I am simply not arrogant enough to think that I have those answers – that is why I wear a mask. It’s such a simple thing to show that you care not only about yourself but also about the other members of your community.
